Live at Cramptonbury: What an Unforgettable Day!

What a weekend! On Saturday, The Ecru Stretch had the absolute pleasure of taking to the Orchard Stage at the very first Cramptonbury Musicians’ Festival, held at the historic Butchers Arms in Carhampton. To say it was a highlight of our year would be an understatement—the atmosphere was pure magic from start to finish.

Playing to an audience of over 600 music lovers who packed out the venue was incredible. Grassroots music is all about community, and seeing hundreds of people relaxing on the grass, soaking up the sunshine, and singing along reminded us why we love doing what we do.

We want to send a massive thank you to the incredible team who made the day possible:

• The Organisers & Volunteers: A huge shoutout to Richard Neal, Nick Moores, and every single volunteer who dedicated their time to run five stages seamlessly.
• The Crew: Huge gratitude to Hive Studios for providing top-tier sound setups across the site—playing on the Orchard Stage sounded fantastic!
• The Venues & Vendors: Thank you to the Butchers Arms for hosting us and putting on a great mini beer and cider festival, all while helping raise funds for the RNLI.

Most importantly, we want to applaud the other performers. Sharing the bill with over 40 brilliant local acts—spanning everything from folk and sea shanties to samba and heavy rock—was a true privilege. West Somerset’s grassroots music scene is thriving, and the sheer talent on display across every stage was inspiring.

To everyone who came out to watch our set, cheered us on, and shared the love—thank you! Cramptonbury was something truly special, and we’re already counting down the days until the next one.
